What is avocado crema?
Avocado crema is a smooth, creamy sauce made by blending ripe avocados with dairy (mayonnaise, sour cream, Mexican crema, or Greek yogurt), lime juice, garlic, and cilantro. It is a popular, 5-minute condiment used to add creamy flavor to dishes like empanadas, tacos, quesadillas, and more!
Avocado crema ingredients:
- Avocado
- Mexican crema, mayonnaise, or sour cream
- Lime juice
- Garlic
- Cilantro
- Salt
- Vinegar

How to make avocado crema?
To a food processor or blender, add avocado, mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, salt or bouillon, water and vinegar. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning, if desired. Serve and enjoy. ¡Buen provecho!

Avocado Crema (Crema de Aguacate)
Equipment
- 1 Food processor or blender
Ingredients
- 1 avocado
- 1/4 cup mayonnaise can sub with Mexican crema or sour cream
- 1 tbsp lime juice
- 1/2 clove garlic crushed
- 1/2 cup fresh cilantro chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded optional
- 1/4 tsp salt can sub with bouillon
- 1/4 cup water
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
Instructions
- To a food processor or blender, add avocado, mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, salt or bouillon, water and vinegar.
- Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning, if desired.
- Serve and enjoy. ¡Buen provecho!

Tips:
Store avocado crema in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. This recipe makes about 1 cup of avocado crema. Double the ingredients if making a bigger batch.Shop my faves on Amazon!
