What is avocado crema?
Avocado crema is a smooth, creamy sauce made by blending ripe avocados with dairy (mayonnaise, sour cream, Mexican crema, or Greek yogurt), lime juice, garlic, and cilantro. It is a popular, 5-minute condiment used to add creamy flavor to dishes like empanadas, tacos, quesadillas, and more!
Avocado crema ingredients:
- Avocado
- Mexican crema, mayonnaise, or sour cream
- Jugo de lima
- Garlic
- Cilantro
- Sal
- Vinegar

How to make avocado crema?
To a food processor or blender, add avocado, mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, salt or bouillon, water and vinegar. Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning, if desired. Serve and enjoy. ¡Buen provecho!

Avocado Crema (Crema de Aguacate)
Equipo
- 1 Food processor or blender
Ingredientes
- 1 avocado
- 1/4 taza mayonnaise can sub with Mexican crema or sour cream
- 1 tbsp jugo de lima
- 1/2 clove garlic crushed
- 1/2 taza fresh cilantro chopped
- 1 jalapeño, seeded opcional
- 1/4 tsp sal can sub with bouillon
- 2 tbsp white vinegar
- 1 tbsp water only if needed
Intrucciones
- To a food processor or blender, add avocado, mayonnaise, lime juice, garlic, cilantro, salt or bouillon, and vinegar.
- Blend until smooth. Taste and adjust seasoning, if desired. If it's too thick add a little water, 1 tbsp at at time until desired consistency is reached.
- Serve and enjoy. ¡Buen provecho!

Tips:
Store avocado crema in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days. This recipe makes about 1 cup of avocado crema. Double the ingredients if making a bigger batch.Shop my faves on Amazon!
