These easy-to-make cake mix donuts are baked in the oven and made with just four simple ingredients! Can’t beat that! You can glaze them or dip them in chocolate or cover them in powdered sugar. It’s up to you how you decide to enjoy your donuts, either way they will be delicious!
How to make cake mix donuts?
Cake mix donuts are super easy to make! Just combine the cake mix of your choice with 2 eggs, 1/4 cup vegetable oil and 3/4 cup of milk. Pour the batter into a piping bag which makes it easier to fill the donut pan. I love the donut pan from Wilton! It’s nonstick and makes the perfect sized donuts every time.
How to make glaze for donuts?
You can make donut glaze with powdered sugar and milk. You can add vanilla extract and/or melted butter if you want a more rich and creamy glaze but just powdered sugar and milk will do the trick. The amount of each ingredient will vary depending on the amount of glaze you want to make. Start with 1 cup of powdered sugar and gradually add tablespoons of milk until you reach your desired consistency.
For this recipe, I chose to dip my donuts in chocolate because they were a special batch for my daughter, Ella’s 4th birthday. She wanted a unicorn theme, so I used bright pink, blue and purple melting chocolate. I topped them with festive unicorn sprinkles and a gold number four candle. I loved how they turned out! Ella was very happy too!
