How to make hot and sweet chicken wings?

Hot and sweet chicken wings are easy to make and come together quickly. Cooking the wings in an air fryer helps make the process much easier and also results in healthier chicken wings.

Chicken Wings

Spray your air fryer with avocado oil and preheat at 375℉. Rinse the chicken with water and white vinegar or lemon juice. Place the chicken in a large bowl. Season chicken with spices. Toss to combine. Add flour and toss to combine.

Place chicken in the air fryer and cook at 375℉ for 10 minutes, shake the air fryer and cook for another 10 to 15 minutes or until golden brown and crispy. While the chicken cooks, make the sauce.

Sweet and Spicy Sauce

Heat butter in a small saucepan over low heat. Once the butter is melted, remove from heat. Add the hot sauce and honey. Stir until well combined. Once the chicken wings are fully cooked, toss them in the sauce until evenly coated. Serve with your favorite sides and enjoy!

What to serve with alitas de pollo?

Sweet and spicy chicken wings pair well with sides like arroz con gandules, tostones, cabbage slaw and avocado with pickled onions. In addition, other sides that work well are macaroni salad, or potato salad.
