Ingredients

  • 1 lb carne molida
  • 1 packet Taco Bell seasoning
  • 1 taza water
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 4 tostada shells
  • 1 taza salsa con queso sauce
  • 1 taza sour cream
  • 2 tazas shredded lettuce
  • 1 taza diced tomatoes
  • 2 tazas shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Ground Beef

  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat. Add seasoning packet and 1 cup of water. Cover and simmer until water evaporates. Mash beef with fork to break it up. This will make the beef tender and smooth, similar to Taco Bell's ground beef.

Assemble Crunchwraps

  • Add a scoop of ground beef to the center of a large flour tortilla, about the size of the tostada. Pour some queso sauce over it and place a tostada shell on top. Spread sour cream on the tostada and top with lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese. Fold the edges of the large tortilla toward the center, creating pleats.
  • Heat some olive oil in a large skillet, over medium high heat. Cook crunchwraps seam-side down until tortilla is golden brown on each side.
  • Drizzle with sour cream or hot sauce for some razzle dazzle or serve as is. Enjoy!
