Elena, Ella and Cameron Gergis

Dear mom of two,

Just when you thought your heart couldn’t grow bigger than it already had, another bundle of joy came into your life and made you fall in love all over again.

But quickly you realized the struggle of caring for two babies is REAL! You no longer have the luxury of napping when your baby naps because you have an active toddler to tend to 24/7.

Sleepless nights turn into sleepless weeks and sleepless months. Dark circles and shedding hair make you feel insecure and some days you don’t even recognize your reflection in the mirror. You feel like you’ve aged 10 years in a matter of months.

You don’t have the amount of time and energy you used to dedicate to your toddler because your baby requires most of your time. Mom guilt creeps in.

Your sea of responsibilities seems to grow deeper by the day as you juggle work, home, child care and your marriage. Self-care goes out the window. Some days you feel like you might drown.

The waves of motherhood come crashing hard over you and just as you think you’re going to drown… you don’t.

Because you are strong and resilient. You know you’ve done this before and you will do it again. Give yourself grace, honor your feelings and focus on the good. This season won’t last forever. In due time things will fall into place and you will begin to feel like yourself again.

Remember… “The journey of motherhood will never be easy, but it will always be worth it.”

Sincerely,

Elena @curlsnpearlsss
