Best Local Coffee + Tea Shops in Hoboken, NJ

Hoboken is a small town full of hidden gems. From delicious food and cocktails to rich coffee and delightful tea, there’s always something sure to please even the pickiest of foodies.

In this article, I’m focusing on coffee shops in particular, which have become wildly popular during this Instagram-driven era. As a lifestyle blogger myself, I truly appreciate beautiful decor, good lighting and perfectly designed latte art. It’s honestly a bloggers dream come true! Here are some of the best and totally instagrammable coffee + tea shops in Hoboken.

Cafe Vista

Cafe Vista is fairly new to Hoboken, located at 527 Monroe Street. However, it has made quite the impression already. Home of the prettiest rose latte you ever did see, this cafe has perfected the art of combining delicious food and gorgeous presentation. The rose latte is among their most popular menu items alongside their exceptionally delicious avocado toast.

With vintage vibes and beautifully curated decor, you’ll be sure to find lots of photo ops for social media sharing. If you’re ever in the area, you must stop by and experience this cafe for yourself. You won’t be disappointed!

Hudson Coffee

Hudson Coffee is located in Uptown Hoboken at 1100 Maxwell Lane. Built on the site of the former Hoboken Maxwell House coffee plant, the largest coffee processing plant in the world through the early 1990s, Hudson Coffee is committed to preserving the rich history of Hoboken.

In addition to historical art displayed on the walls, this coffee shop offers premium coffee made from the highest quality beans from all over the world. Their menu includes unique seasonal blends, pour-over coffees, cold brews, fine teas, lattes, espresso, cappuccino and hot cocoa.

In honor of Valentine’s Day, they are featuring a variety of pink drinks. See the flyer below and mention “curlsnpearlsss” for a free drink now through February 14, 2021.

Bwè Kafe

Bwé Kafe means “drink coffee” in Hatian Creole and is a local family run coffee shop. They take pride in working with Love for Haiti to fund University students through coffee and food sales from their coffee shops.

With two locations in Hoboken and one in Jersey City, Bwè Kafe continues to serve their customers with smiles and great energy. Menu items include a wide variety of lattes and sandwiches. They even offer a kid-friendly drink made of steamed milk and a pump of vanilla. It’s called a Babyccino, how adorbs!

Mojo Coffee Company

Another new coffee shop has opened its doors at 230 Willow Avenue, Mojo Coffee Company. The owners describe it as a space where friends can catch up, locals can relax with a good book and professionals can comfortably work. Their mission is to “create vibrant cafes that reflect, improve, and inspire” our communities.

In addition to coffee, lattes, espresso and tea they also offer a scrumptious selection of locally sourced treats including croissants, coffee cakes, muffins, and cookies!

The Hive

The Hive is not your usual cafe. Kristin and Catherine, local moms and co-founders, describe The Hive as their little love note to the community. It’s a place of “discovery, comfort and connection that serves the freshest treats and drinks plus the latest in beauty, wellness, and lifestyle products handpicked by two retail industry veterans.”

In addition, this fabulous woman-owned market also offers a cute little play space for the kiddies. This was created with busy mamas in mind who just want to have a drink, sit back and enjoy a well-deserved break. Stop by 1000 Park Avenue and check them out!

Empire Coffee & Tea Co.

Empire Coffee & Tea Co. is all about fresh ground coffee and unique teas. Located at 338 Bloomfield Street, this coffee shop carries every possible flavor of gourmet coffee and tea you could ever dream of! Their website states that bags and bags of every imaginable fresh roasted gourmet coffee from around the world cover the walls and floor. They describe the selection as “dazzling and the smell: intoxicating.”

This rounds up my list of Hoboken’s best coffee/tea shops. If you happen to visit any of these shops, please share your experience below and tag me (@curlsnpearlsss) in any photos you share on social media. Enjoy! Xo
