This P.F. Chang’s Coconut Cooler copycat recipe is spot on! It’s super easy to make with only 3 ingredients and deliciously refreshing! Every time I go to P.F. Chang’s with my family, my daughter and I order coconut coolers and we savor every sip. I’m so happy now I am able to easily make this drink at home for us to enjoy anytime!
How to make P.F. Chang’s coconut cooler?
This coconut cooler comes together with just three simple ingredients: coconut water, coconut milk, and cane sugar. You can also garnish with a little sprinkle of nutmeg, but that is totally optional.
Making coconut milk at home with fresh coconuts is the best method for this recipe, but you can use canned coconut milk as well. My favorite store-bought coconut milk is the Whole Foods 365 brand. It tastes delicious and has no weird aftertaste like Goya’s coconut milk. IYKYK. Using the best quality ingredients will result in the BEST tasting coconut cooler, so it is worth spending a little extra!
I like to rim my glass with toasted coconut and garnish with a fresh sprig of mint because I’m fancy! You could also rim the glass with cinnamon or sugar or both. There are many ways you can customize your drink.
Is this coconut cooler healthy?
Yes, coconut milk and water are full of antioxidants, vitamins and minerals! Coconut milk is rich in electrolytes such as potassium, magnesium and phosphorous. Drinking moderate amounts of coconut water and coconut milk can help improve digestion and lower cholesterol. You can also control the amount of sugar in the coconut cooler or omit the sugar altogether. Coconut water is naturally sweet so it will still taste good!
