Taco Bell Copycat Crunchwrap

Taco Bell Copycat Crunchwrap

This Taco Bell Copycat Crunchwrap recipe is so good, you’ll enjoy these crunchwraps even more then the original ones from Taco Bell! With seasoned ground beef, queso sauce, sour cream, lettuce and tomatoes, this recipe will quickly become a favorite in your household!

I also love that it’s kid-friendly. My kids enjoy eating deconstructed crunchwraps, a.k.a. every ingredient separately on a plate. Either way you choose to eat this, it’s a win for sure!

How do you make a Crunchwrap?

Making a Taco Bell Crunchwrap is super easy! If you have little ones, they’ll enjoy helping you make these. Just add ground beef and cheese sauce to a large flour tortilla. Top with a crunchy tostada shell (I buy the Guerrero brand at my local supermarket) and spread sour cream on it. Sprinkle with lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese. Wrap it up, toast it up and that’s it! I swapped out the regular nacho cheese sauce for salsa con queso in this recipe because honestly, it tastes so much BETTER! I promise, you’ll love it this way.

Servings 4

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 packet Taco Bell seasoning
  • 1 cup water
  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 4 tostada shells
  • 1 cup salsa con queso sauce
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 cups shredded lettuce
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Instructions

Ground Beef

  • In a large skillet, cook ground beef over medium heat. Add seasoning packet and 1 cup of water. Cover and simmer until water evaporates. Mash beef with fork to break it up. This will make the beef tender and smooth, similar to Taco Bell's ground beef.

Assemble Crunchwraps

  • Add a scoop of ground beef to the center of a large flour tortilla, about the size of the tostada. Pour some queso sauce over it and place a tostada shell on top. Spread sour cream on the tostada and top with lettuce, tomato and shredded cheese. Fold the edges of the large tortilla toward the center, creating pleats.
  • Heat some olive oil in a large skillet, over medium high heat. Cook crunchwraps seam-side down until tortilla is golden brown on each side.
  • Drizzle with sour cream or hot sauce for some razzle dazzle or serve as is. Enjoy!
