It\u2019s definitely a crowd pleaser and my most requested dish at gatherings with family and friends. Since I have gotten so many requests for the recipe, I have decided to share it here on my blog.<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Ingredients:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>3 cups white long grain rice<\/li>\n<li>3 tb Sofrito (homemade is preferred)<\/li>\n<li>2 tb Tomato sauce<\/li>\n<li>3 1\/2 cups Water<\/li>\n<li>Goya Adobo to taste<\/li>\n<li>1 tb garlic powder<\/li>\n<li>1 tb onion powder<\/li>\n<li>1 packet Goya Sazon (sin achiote)<\/li>\n<li>1 packet Goya Sazon (con culantro y achiote)<\/li>\n<li>1 packet Goya chicken bouillon or 1 tb Better than Bouillon<\/li>\n<li>3 tb canola or vegetable oil<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Directions:<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Thoroughly rinse your rice with cold water. Drain and set aside.<\/li>\n<li>In a large pot, sautee sofrito and tomato sauce on medium high heat until fragrant, 1-2 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Add water.<\/li>\n<li>Add all seasonings.<\/li>\n<li>Add rice.<\/li>\n<li>Add oil. Stir Well.<\/li>\n<li>Bring to a boil and cover. Reduce to medium low heat and cook for 20-25 minutes.<\/li>\n<li>Uncover and gently flip rice over in sections by using a large spoon. This ensures the rice cooks evenly. Cover and continue to cook on very low heat.<\/li>\n<li>Repeat this step every 10 minutes until rice is fully cooked.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>That\u2019s it! When I follow these exact steps my rice comes out perfect and delicious every time!<\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p><\/p>\n<p>Tip: If you notice your rice looks dry and the grains seem hard, just add about 1\/4 to 1\/2 cup of water and continue to cook on low heat.
