The ground beef is seasoned with <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/curlsnpearlsss.com\/es\/homemade-adobo-adobo-puertorriqueno\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">adobo<\/a><\/strong> y <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/curlsnpearlsss.com\/es\/homemade-sazon-sazon-puertorriqueno\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saz\u00f3n<\/a><\/strong> and cooked in a <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/curlsnpearlsss.com\/es\/puerto-rican-sofrito\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sofrito<\/a><\/strong> sauce. This adds a ton of flavor to this dish. I love making this for dinner on busy weeknights as it comes together in 45 minutes or less. PLUS, it&#8217;s a no-bake recipe which makes it even more simple to make. It also freezes well so you can make ahead and keep a stash for later use!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What are Puerto Rican stuffed shells?<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Puerto Rican stuffed shells are prepared like the traditional dish but the difference is in the ground beef. Traditional stuffed shells are stuffed with only ricotta cheese. This version adds a layer of savory ground beef over the ricotta for an explosion of delicious Caribbean flavor! I prepare the ground beef in the same way as <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/curlsnpearlsss.com\/es\/puerto-rican-picadillo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">picadillo.<\/a><\/strong>, only I don&#8217;t add onions, peppers, potatoes, olives, or raisins. If you want to add those ingredients, that&#8217;s completely up to you but I prefer to keep it simple for this recipe. Add salt, to taste. Once the water is boiling, add the pasta shells and cook for 10 minutes, until al dente. Drain the pasta and drizzle with olive oil to keep them from sticking together. Set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Cheese<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">In a medium bowl<a href=\"https:\/\/www.amazon.com\/Pyrex-Tempered-1-5-Quart-Microwave-Dishwasher\/dp\/B00LGLHUA0?&amp;linkCode=ll1&amp;tag=loveandlemobl-at-rc-instr-20&amp;linkId=303e3693e9b02405e3ade345db84222e&amp;language=en_US&amp;ref_=as_li_ss_tl\"><\/a>, combine the ricotta, parsley, parmesan, garlic powder, oregano, salt, and pepper. Set aside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h4 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Ground beef<\/h4>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Brown the ground beef and remove any excess fat from the skillet. Add sofrito and bouillon and saut\u00e9 until fragrant, 2-3 minutes. Add tomato sauce (about half of one 24-oz jar), seasonings, cover and cook for a few minutes on low heat.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"\">Place a large pan over low heat. Spread some marinara sauce at the bottom of the pan. Stuff each shell with the ricotta mixture followed by the ground beef on top. This is a no-bake recipe so we&#8217;re going to cook the shells in a pan, on the stove until the cheese melts. Drizzle about 1 tbsp of water over the shells, to help the cheese melt faster and keep the shells moist, cover the pan and cook on very low heat for 10-15 minutes or until the mozzarella cheese has melted. Spread some marinara sauce at the bottom of the pan. Stuff each shell with the ricotta mixture followed by the ground beef on top.
